Wines on Sale!
The following wines are ON SALE through December 3rd:
Favorite regular Connie delighted tasters again this week on our tasting bar. Despite the holiday weekend, we had a lot of folks in to try our offerings. On this Thanksgiving weekend, we are especially thankful for our fantastic and loyal customers! The identity of the Mystery Wine is:
Crios Malbec 2009 (reg. $14.99) SALE $12.99
Many of our tasters guessed the mystery wine! Nice work. With aromas of crushed black cherries and toasty/smoky oak, it displays tasty hints of spice and sandalwood. Blended with 10% Bonarda, it is savory and finishes long. Other wines in the tasting included:
Veuve Ambal Cremant de Bourgogne Brut NV (reg. $11.99) SALE $10.49
This bubbly from Burgundy is rich and complex. It has a very aromatic nose, with floral, peach and barnyard hints. The palate displays raspberry and strawberry, with a pronounced fruit pastry flavor. This is the perfect sparkling wine for brunch!!
Nine Walks Sauvignon Blanc 2010 (reg. $9.99) SALE $8.49
If you like the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc style, you will love this wine! Showing classic notes of fresh asparagus, zesty green pepper, and juicy grapefruit, the palate is incredibly fresh and mouthwatering. Lime citrus and honeydew come through on the finish, making this a very flavorful white.
Maculan Pino & Toi 2008 (reg. $12.99) SALE $11.49
This Italian white wine produced by the Maculan family in the foothills of the Dolomite Mountains in the Veneto region of Italy is a blend of Tocai (60%), Pinot Bianco (25%) and Pinot Grigio (15%). With very light subtle aromas of grass, apples and yeast, the palate is mostly framed by pear and apple notes. It is a medium-bodied, refined food wine!
Tre Stelle Langhe 2009 (reg. $13.99) SALE $12.49
This blend of Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto from the Langhe in Italy’s Piedmont region is spicy and fruity on the nose. It is a bit earthy, with leather, red fruit, and bright acidity on the palate. Delicate and finely structured, it is a fantastic Italian red!
Domaine de la Vieille Cotes-du-Rhone 2005 (reg. $24.99) SALE $22.49
This delicious Cotes-du-Rhone is mainly Grenache with Syrah and Mourvedre in small amounts. With a beautiful floral and red fruit-driven bouquet, it displays rather high tannins, crisp, lively acidity, but impressive levels of black cherry fruit along with some pepper and spice. This great red received 90 points from Robert Parker and it’s easy to see why!
Falernia Syrah Reserva 2008 (reg. $13.99) SALE $11.99
This Chilean Syrah has a touch of smoky bacon fat on the nose and palate, followed by a refreshing, raisin and dark fruit note. Balanced and flavorful, this is a great Syrah at a great price!
