Ordering Information

Orders can be placed from anywhere in the world. Orders can only be shipped, however, to the United States.

Generally, orders placed before 3pm Eastern Time, Monday through Thursday, will ship within 48 hours. Orders placed Friday through Sunday are typically shipped the following Monday or Tuesday. You will be promptly notified of any unexpected delays in processing and/or shipping. The purchase of alcohol by persons under the age of 21 is prohibited by law. By placing an order through our website, you are representing yourself to us as 21 years of age or older.We reserve the right to request proof of identity before processing an order.

We require adult signatures on all packages, so you will need to be present during business hours to sign for the package when it arrives. Please bear this in mind when choosing an appropriate shipping address. If FedEx is unable to obtain an adult signature, the package will be returned to us and you will be credited the product value less shipping charges for delivery and return. Additional charges will apply if you would like us to reship the order.

If a change of address is necessary, both ground and express packages will be returned to the Wine Specialist and then shipped back out to the new address. The customer is responsible for any additional shipping charges incurred when and item must be returned and/or re-shipped to a new address.

Availability/Vintage Changes

The world of wine and spirits is not static. Occasionally, items that appear on our website may be out of stock and/or temporarily unavailable from our suppliers. At times, a given vintage of a wine may sell out unexpectedly. Current vintages may be available, and these may differ in price from the vintage listed on our website. In such events we will notify you as soon as possible. If you fail to respond to our notifications within 7 days Bellwineshop.com will ship out the remainder of your order, omitting the wine in question.

Shipping Information

Note: We cannot ship internationally, nor to PO, APO or FPO Boxes.

The following Federal Express shipping methods are available:

Ground: Delivery in 3 to 7 business days Express Saver: Delivery on the third business day from shipping 2-Day Air: Delivery on the second business day from shipping Next Day Air: Delivery on the next business day from shipping

Please be aware that packages are not delivered over the weekend. For example, a Next Day order that is shipped Friday will arrive the following Monday. Saturday delivery is available, but is limited to certain areas and only with specific express shipping options; please contact us to discuss options if you require a Saturday delivery.

If your order needs to arrive by or on a specific date, please communicate this to us in the "Special Instructions" section. We cannot be held responsible for late arrival if this requisite is not communicated to us at the time the order is placed.

We inspect merchandise and ensure that it is safely packaged before it leaves our premises. In the event that an item is damaged in transit, we cannot be held responsible but will make every effort to resolve the problem. In most cases we can offer a replacement or refund, though this can take up to three weeks.

If FedEx is not in operation due to inclement weather or holiday, we cannot be held responsible for delays in an order's arrival.

Very warm or cold weather can be damaging to wine. If you live in a warm climate, or are ordering during the summer or winter months, we strongly suggest that you select 2-Day Air or Next Day Air shipping.

If a package cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or insufficient address, you will be subject to a charge for the package's return to The Wine Specialist and a second charge if the order is to be resent. If you cancel your order you will be credited the purchase amount less all shipping charges.

Products sold through Bellwineshop.com are sold in Washington, D.C., and title passes to the buyer in Washington, D.C. Upon placing an order, the buyer is authorizing Bell Wine Shop to arrange shipment of the order to an address specified by the buyer. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment, and should be aware of any laws regarding the shipment of alcohol in his/her home state. Bell Wine Shop will ship those orders that, in its sole judgement, do not subject the store to any legal risk.

Please note that for items under 50 dollars, Bell Wine Shop will ship the bottle without its box. If you would like to keep the box, please specify in the Special Instructions. There is a $4 charge for the additional packing supplies.
